Congratulations to Tressa Senesac for qualifying for the state finals in 100 hurdles by finishing the 3rd at the Lafayette Jeff regional last night. The state finals will be at Ben Davis on June 5th. Tressa also scored a 6th place in the high jump and in the 300 meter low hurdles. Ava Sayre came out of the first timed heat to earn a 4th place in the 400.
Make sure to take all of your belongings from the balcony today. Items left in the arena balcony will be donated after today. Also check the lunch box shelves in the cafeteria.
Congratulations to the Benton County Special Olympics Track Team. They participated in the Are 4 Track Meet last Saturday and came home with many medals! Congrats to Kyra Holder, Allie Fox, Mitchell Buchanan, Landon Johnson, Emily Yuill, Sabrina Yuill, Melony Salla and David Lytle.
The varsity track banquet will be Tuesday, June 8th at the Fowler park pavilion. It will begin at 6 p.m. and will have a carry in for dinner. Please contribute to the carry-in with the following: Freshman and Sophomores please bring main dishes. Juniors bring sides, and seniors bring drinks.

Kimberly Cummings shut down West Lafayette, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Benton Central Bison Varsity to a 12-0 victory on Tuesday
Benton Central Bison Varsity was boosted by Kennedy Tolen who went 4-for-4 at the plate. Tolen singled in the first, doubled in the second, singled in the fourth, and doubled in the fifth.Benton Central Bison Varsity got things moving in the first inning. Tolen singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.Benton Central Bison Varsity notched four runs in the fourth inning. Gabby Williams and Kennady Sloniger all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.A double by Ashlynn Duffy in the second inning was a positive for West Lafayette.Cummings was the winning pitcher for Benton Central Bison Varsity. The pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking one.Anna Steffey took the loss for West Lafayette. Steffey lasted three innings, allowing nine hits and seven runs while striking out one.Benton Central Bison Varsity smacked two home runs on the day. Cummings went deep in the fifth inning. Williams went for the long ball in the third inning.Benton Central Bison Varsity totaled 13 hits. Tolen, Williams, Cummings, and Sloniger each managed multiple hits for Benton Central Bison Varsity. Tolen went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Benton Central Bison Varsity in hits. Benton Central Bison Varsity didn’t commit a single error in the field. Sloniger had eight chances in the field, the most on the team.Duffy led West Lafayette with one hit in two at bats.
