• Student Activities

     

    • Students are recognized for academic achievement each nine weeks at our community circle, PTO, and in the Friday Bulletin.
    • Students have access to computers in each classroom and have Internet access in the classrooms.
    • Students are recognized for math achievement beyond the classroom with the Principal’s Math Wall of Fame.
    • Students in grade 5-6 can participate in Choir.
    • Students in grade 6 can participate in band.
    • Students in grades 6 are represented on the Student Council.
    • Students are recognized as Distinguished Artists (25 students per grading period) and have their artwork displayed locally and in Lafayette.
    • Students in grades 5 and 6 can participate in volleyball, basketball, and cheerleading.
    • Students in grades K-6 can participate in the Explore and More Program. This after school program provides assistance with homework, math and reading activities. Students in grades 3-6 who are experiencing difficulty in their studies attend Study Table after school.
    • Students in grade 3 participate in the annual Benton County Third Grade Spelling Bee.
    • Students in grades 4-6 participate annually in the Scripps Howard Spelling Bee.
    • Students in K-6 are honored for good and perfect attendance each nine-week grading period.
    • Students in K-6 are honored at the end of the year for performance on the President’s Physical Fitness Test.
    • Students at the end of the year are recognized for academic and fine arts’ achievement.


    In addition Prairie Crossing provides activities and programs for academic, social and emotional development. Some of the programs and activities:
