FAQs

Prairie Crossing Elementary School offers kindergarten through sixth grade in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The students come from the communities of Fowler, Earl Park, Oxford, Freeland Park, Templeton, Chase and Dunnington. Students from a 263.4 square mile area are transported by bus an average of 6 – 8 miles one way.

What is the After School Program?
Prairie Crossing Elementary sponsors an “After School Program” (ASP) in our building. All students in K-6 are entitled to participation as well as students from Sacred Heart Elementary, Fowler, IN. The hours are 3:15 – 5:30. The program is structure to provide study periods for homework as well as recreational time. The cost of the program is $1.00 a day for students eligible for free or reduced lunches and $4.00 a day for all other students.

How do parents enroll their children?
Parents are welcome to stop in during office hours. Please bring school records, immunization records and a birth certificate.

What are your building hours?
Office hours are from 7:30 – 4:00 when school is in session.
Breakfast is served at 7:55.
Students may be dropped off at Door #1. Students may be picked up at door #1 at 3:10.

What do I do when my child is sick?
Please call the office by 8:30 when your child is sick for the day.
If your child goes to a doctor, please bring in a note.
