People, people, people….you really need to come claim your things from the lost and found table in the cafeteria.  There are some very nice things there and they would like to go to their rightful homes! Anything not picked up by next week will be donated.


The 8th Grade Summer Glow Semi-Formal dance is only 7 days away.  You may purchase your tickets during 2nd lunch in the B.C. Commons.  Don't miss out on a spectacular black-light memory special. The dance is at the Benton Community Annex in Fowler from 8:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M.

The Boys Golf Team ended their regular season on a bright spot with a win over Covington by the score of 184-189.  Aaron Sandel led the way firing a 44, followed by Kolton Goodman with a 45, and Nick Charlesworth with a 46. Rounding out the scoring for the Bison was aaron Braaksma with a 49.  Other scores were turned in by Grant Bessler 50, and Tristan Waber with a 52. The Bison closed out their regular season with a record of 4-8.


Benton Central Bison Varsity took their game in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off sacrifice fly at the end of the game to topple Northwestern.  The game was tied at two with Benton Central Bison Varsity batting in the bottom of the seventh when Alex Thurston's sac fly scored one run for Benton Central Bison Varsity. The pitching was strong on both sides. Benton Central Bison Varsity pitchers struck out 11, while Harris sat down ten. Benton Central Bison Varsity fired up the offense in the first inning, when Alex Stout singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Benton Central Bison Varsity tied things up at two.  Matthew Taylor doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run. Taylor Varnado pitched Benton Central Bison Varsity to victory. He lasted two and a third innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out five and walking zero. Harris was on the mound for Northwestern. He went six and two-thirds innings, allowing three runs on four hits and striking out ten. Taylor started the game for Benton Central Bison Varsity. He lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing six hits and two runs while striking out six. Taylor, Kolten Rider, Stout, and Payton Hall each managed one hit to lead Benton Central Bison Varsity.  Benton Central Bison Varsity didn't commit a single error in the field. Ethan Hallenbeck had the most chances in the field with 12.

Guffey went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Northwestern in hits.



Cassidy Minniear came the ballpark and meant business on Thursday, driving in four on two hits to lead Benton Central past Twin Lakes 15-8 on Thursday. Minniear drove in runs on a single in the first, a home run in the second, and a walk in the third. Both offenses were strong at the plate as Benton Central collected 14 hits and Twin Lakes nine in the high-scoring affair Twin Lakes opened up scoring in the second inning when Kaylie Stachelski drew a walk, scoring one run. Benton Central evened things up at two in the bottom of the first inning. Kaelin Minniear drew a walk, scoring one run. Benton Central took the lead for good with five runs in the third inning. In the third Kennedy Tolen homered on a 0-1 count, scoring three runs, Cassidey Minniear drew a walk, scoring one run, and Kaelin Minniear drew a walk, scoring one run. Benton Central put up six runs in the fourth inning. Charity Gerlach, Minniear, Stephanie Cummings, and Tolen all drove in runs in the frame. Twin Lakes scored three runs in the fifth inning. Twin Lakes's big inning was driven by a single by A Wisinski and a groundout by C Cannon. Cummings took the win for Benton Central. She lasted six innings, allowing seven hits and three runs while striking out three and walking one. Rachel Swaim took the loss for Twin Lakes. She surrendered nine runs on eight hits over two innings, striking out one. Kimberly Cummings started the game for Benton Central. She surrendered five runs on two hits over one inning Benton Central launched three home runs on the day. Cassidy Minniear went deep in the second inning. Kennedy Tolen had a homer in the third inning. Stephanie Cummings had a four bagger in the fourth inning.Final Score 15-8
